I spent a great Saturday evening at Pz gallery where the friends of the Jubilee Pool put on an evening meal and an art auction in aid of the lido. A choice of curries were provided by Ruby June, a lovely choice of desserts for the sweet toothed among us by the Little Wonder Cafe and coffee to finish from The Tube Van Coffee, thanks guys a wonderful achievement.
The meal was followed by the main event an art auction organised by David Lay, it was hugely entertaining and raised in excess of £17,000.00. The whole evening made £20,000.00 towards the £160,000.00 that needs to be raised this year to reinstate the Jubilee Pool to its former glory and make sure it’s future is secure for the foreseeable future.
A band played after the auction but I’m afraid to say that it was well past my bedtime and with guests in for breakfast I slipped away at 11.15pm!!!
