On Sunday we made it over to the last day of the Sea, Salts and Sail festival at Mousehole. The sun was shining and it was a perfect day for it. This biennial event is held over three days in July. There are bands playing throughout the weekend, Friday night was absolutely buzzing apparently, the best for many years. Need to put a reminder on the phone for 2016 so we don’t miss it.

Mousehole flags

There were beautiful flags flying around the harbour in a stiff breeze. Although breezy it was still very warm and there were children of all ages swimming in the sea and jumping off the harbour wall. The marquees with refreshments and gifts were round the corner by the rowing club and sheltered from the breeze. We heard the Lanner town band playing several theme tunes from various films, also a ladies choir singing sea shanties.

At 16.30 as the tide came in all the boats started coming into the harbour from where they had been moored during the afternoon, a beautiful sight.

Make a date in your dairies for July 2016 and come visit the Sea, Salts and Sail Festival you are sure to have a great time.
