Firstly apologies for the photos, taken on my phone and really don’t do HMS QE justice.
Probably one of the most photographed sights in Mounts Bay this year, after the snow! HMS Queen Elizabeth the new aircraft carrier arrived in Mounts Bay last week, and stayed for a few days as part of her on going sea trials. The helicopters from Culdrose were practicing landings and take offs from her enormous deck. Coincidentally the Mali Rose (who we think of as big) was involved in some routine emergency drills out in the bay and she was dwarfed by HMS Queen Elizabeth.
