Stuart and I are really looking forward to welcoming guests back to Keigwin House, but only when it is safe to do so and in line with the current government guidance and social distancing guidelines. In readiness for this we have made and are making some changes to how we do things here at Keigwin, but one thing is for certain and that is you can still expect a very warm welcome; however in keeping with social distancing guidelines we won’t be offering to shake your hands!
We have installed an automatic hand sanitiser dispenser in the foyer, which we will expect guests to use before entering the house. We will be providing anti bacterial hand wash in the bathrooms and we will be disinfecting all the communal areas, including handrails, light switches and door handles etc three or more times daily.
Only the en suite rooms plus the standard room 6 will be let out, this means the normally shared bathroom to be a private bathroom for room 6. By doing this we are also reducing our capacity to allow more space for our guests.
To help with social distancing we have put a dining room table into rooms 1,4,8 & 9 with room service breakfasts for these guests. Rooms 2, 3 & 6 will still use the dining room but with tables spaced further apart, also maintaining social distancing.
Guests will be asked to pre-order their breakfast the night before with an agreed time for breakfast to be served.
Regarding evening meals we can’t currently say which local restaurants will be open for ‘eat-in’, but several restaurants are already doing a takeaway service. At Keigwin we have always been happy for guests to bring in takeaways and/or make your own meals and eat them in the dining room. However with some rooms now having their own dining table we are more than happy for evening meals to be eaten in the bedrooms, rather than the dining room.
Free coffee, tea and hot chocolate will still be provided for your room, but rather than put everything in each room we will provide these by agreement with you on arrival. We will also provide extra toilet rolls by request.
Unfortunately we have had to remove our public library of used books and information leaflets to further reduce the possibility of cross contamination, however we can still supply these to you on request.
You can be assured that your room will have been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before you arrive, but we will also leave a pack of antibacterial wipes in each room.
To enable you to book in the knowledge you can get a refund we have changed our cancellation policy. We will still ask for a deposit equal to the first nights stay, but now you can cancel up to 48 hours before your arrival date and get your deposit back or transfer to another date.
At Keigwin we are trying our best to keep you all safe and well during your stay and we ask you to do the same, so if you feel at all unwell or have knowingly been in contact with someone with Covid19 symptoms or similar prior to travel, we ask you to please delay your trip to another time.
In the meantime please stay safe and well and we look forward to welcoming you to Keigwin House as soon as it is safe to do so.
